Rent a Car in Livigno

Livigno sits in a long, isolated Alpine valley at 1,800 metres, tucked between Lombardy and Switzerland. A car is close to the only practical way in: there's no railway in the valley, and direct bus links from the cities are sparse and seasonal. A hire car is also the easiest way to move between ski lifts, ski club car parks and the duty-free shops strung along the main street.

It's worth being upfront: Livigno doesn't have a nearby airport in the usual sense. The most workable options are Bergamo-Orio al Serio or Milan (Malpensa/Linate), both around 200 km and roughly 3 hours' drive over Alpine passes. A scenic alternative is flying into Switzerland and approaching via St. Moritz, but even then the final stretch is still a mountain drive, not a quick airport hop.
